At The Parks Clinics, we can help with that! We offer two ways of achieving a whiter smile; in-house whitening and home whitening. In-house whitening means you come into the clinic for a full session of Zoom whitening and leave the practice with not only whiter teeth, but also some whitening gels and trays fitted for your teeth to maintain at home.
Teeth Whitening in Hull- The Parks
Home whitening is where we take impressions of your teeth, to create bespoke lab made whitening trays, and you take them home to whiten at home with the whitening gel you will be provided with.
Your appointments
Your first appointment with us would be for the clinician to ensure suitability for whitening, as would always make sure any clinical treatment is carried out prior to cosmetic treatment, such as whitening. Providing you are suitable, and if you proceed with in-house whitening, at that appointment the clinician will prepare your mouth ready for the whitening gel to be applied to the teeth. Before pictures will be taken and a shade of your teeth recorded, before starting the whitening so we can see how much whiter your teeth become in just 1 hour.
The gel is applied and removed every 15 minutes and repeated 4 times. While the gel is on, to make the process efficient, the clinician will attach a blue LED lamp onto the teeth. This accelerates the whitening gel to make this work faster as well as making sure you are comfortable throughout the treatment.
Once the session has ended and all cycles have been completed, after removing the final coat of gel, the clinician will show you in the mirror the results of your new, whiter smile. We then will pick a shade that we think matches your new smile and compare it to the before shade. Now we are at the end of the appointment we will then show you how to whiten your teeth at home. We will provide you with your whitening trays and whitening gels as well as demonstrate how to apply the gels, when to wear them, how long for, and how to clean them afterwards, and provide you with some information we feel will help and support you.
Does whitening hurt?
When whitening your teeth, the only side affects you may experience is some minor sensitivity. We recommend using a sensitive toothpaste post whitening and if this becomes more sensitive, there are other ways The Parks Clinics can help with this.
