Do you want to improve the colour and shade of your smile?
Teeth whitening is a quick and easy way to improve your overall smile in as little as 2 hours.
We offer the industry’s leading laser teeth whitening treatment. This treatment involves an in-house session where one of our team will place specifically formulated, prescription strength gel onto your teeth and activates the gel with the laser light. The benefit of having in-house laser whitening is the precision placement and acceleration of the whitening process. Teeth can be lightened by up to 6 shades in 1 session.
We also offer bespoke-made home teeth whitening trays, again using specifically formulated prescription strength gel, you will be shown how to use this gel within your custom lab made trays, which you wear daily for a matter of weeks until you gradually lift your teeth to their desired shade.
Home teeth whitening (which includes syringes of Hydrogen Peroxide or Carbamide Peroxide, plus upper and lower custom-made trays) is £299.
In surgery laser teeth whitening is £449 with home whitening trays.
Prior to treatment an exam would be required to ensure suitability.
As one of Hull's leading cosmetic and private dental practices, we have a huge number of patients coming to us for their teeth whitening and cosmetic needs. We use the industry’s leading technology with laser light and gels meaning we get great results every time.
Every patient's results differ and factors such as the current shade and health of teeth can determine the overall results. There is a maximum shade in which natural tooth tissues can lighten to, this is not as light as veneers can be made and it is impossible to get natural teeth to the same shade seen on many veneers.
Teeth whitening can last up to 12 months if maintained and looked after. After tooth whitening, patients are provided with home trays to use as a top up session to maintain the shade long term. Diet plays a huge role in the results, the higher pigmented foods, and drinks you consume, the darker the teeth will go. Such things as smoking and coffee can significantly reduce the results and longevity of your whitening results.
Some, but not all patients experience mild tooth sensitivity following their teeth whitening treatment. This is normal and should resolve itself within 24-48 hours of the procedure. It also may be helpful to use toothpaste and mouthwash that is specially formulated to lessen the effects on sensitive teeth such as Sensodyne or a topical desensitising treatment specifically designed for sensitivity. If patients suffer with severe sensitivity prior to treatment, it may be advised that this is not a suitable treatment.
