Here at Kingswood Parks Clinics we often donate and fundraise for various charities throughout the year. This year we have decided to put funds back into our local Hull Hospitals.
Who we are trying to help?
We have selected two fantastic charities – WISHH (Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals) and Teenage Cancer Trust where the funds will go directly into children and young adult wards at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill.
We are helping WISHH with their Easter Campaign. Every year, the children’s wards at Hull Royal Infirmary would normally be inundated with offers of chocolate treats for youngsters spending time in hospital. But this year, along with staff in the children’s departments, they have asked kind-hearted donors to support the hospital’s WISHH Charity with a financial donation instead of Easter eggs, to enable the generosity to go further and wider.
Funds raised enabled them to purchase ‘Covid safe gifts’ for children of all ages from babies, toddlers, primary school and secondary school aged young people who will be staying on our wards over the Easter holiday period. This support also made a difference to patients being looked after in the Children’s Emergency Department, Eye Hospital, Anlaby Suite and other specialist areas. What we’re doing to help…
