What does it include? 

Cleansing the skin is the upmost important first step with any facial; your therapist will double cleanse the skin to get rid of any dirt and bacteria and sanitise to prepare for the next steps.  

Dermaplaning is the following step which is the deepest form of manual exfoliation taking away the dead skin cells, to speeds up the cellular turnover; which naturally only happens every 28 days. Doing this allows products we apply on the skin to penetrate much deeper into the skin which will hydrate and replenish cells which are not normally reachable for nourishment- creating the appearance of healthier, younger skin in the process. Dermaplaning will also remove vellus hair from the skin surface which only acts as a barrier for product penetration and adds unwanted texture and sebum to the skin. Removing both the epidermis which is the top layer of skin cells and the unwanted vellus hair, we can achieve a smooth, clear canvas ready for the micro-needling.  

Micro-needling is the next step of the billion dollar facial; using a dermaroller at a controlled needle depth- being deep enough to induce collagen and elastin within the cells, but not to the point where it will be bleeding or requiring downtime to heal. The process is comfortable and used with Hyaluronic Acid which will penetrate deep into the channels we create in the skin from the dermaroller. Hyaluronic Acid is a smart monocle which is also found in the skin holding the connective tissue together, supporting skin structure. It also attracts and retains water keeping the skin toughly hydrated.  

LED Light Therapy is the next step to the treatment; continuing to promote anti-ageing and treats skin concerns like acne, pigmentation and redness. Blue lights work deep within the skin to help minimise the production of oil and sebum, killing bad bacteria which causes breakouts leading to acne, and helps to treat active spots on the skin.  

Red light therapy is mainly for anti-ageing, as the red lights induce collagen production and promote quick cellular turnover as the epidermis absorbs it and then stimulates collagen proteins.  

A jelly mask is applied to the skin delivering nutrients and hydration to the skin, leaving this on for 20 minutes, the skin feels soft and supple after it is peeled off by the therapist.  

Deep lymphatic drainage massage is preformed following the jelly mask, to flush away all toxins and bacteria around the internal facial muscles, reducing oedema, swelling and inflammation. Delivering fresh oxygenated blood to surrounding cells and tissue promoting anti-ageing and helping to tone muscles helping to support skin structure.  

Serums, creams and SPF UV protection is applied to finish the billion dollar facial; protecting you from the harmful rays of the sun and protecting the skin from oxidative stress.
