Frequently asked questions

How long does dental bonding last?

Composite bonding tend to last 7-10 years and require home care and regular maintenance. Patients may experience small chips which will need smoothing or repairing throughout.

How do I look after my new teeth?

Oral hygiene is of paramount importance. You must floss or use interdental brushes every day around your own teeth and the composite. Staining can occur and keeping up with regular scale and polishes, air polishes and bonding maintenance is vital. We would recommend 2 visits a year to maintain the colour and shine of your composite. You may also need a bite guard to wear at night to protect the composite from coming off or chipping during the night and such things as biting into an apple may not be advised.

Are digital design composite veneers better for me?

Digitally designed composite veneers are better suited for patients who want a smile make-over, to trial their smile first or have any complexity in their current alignment, shape and bite. Using the skills of the lab technician and the dental software means the results are crafted in a more precise and specialist manner. The digital design is the method used for full smile make overs, overall smile improvements and multiple teeth bonded.
