Suzie Sonnabend

Suzie joined The Parks in Summer 2018, standing out as the ideal candidate for the role due to her experience, including 12 years working her way up the ranks to the position of Managing Director at her previous company, as well as being well-versed in all areas of business, including customer service, marketing, sales, accounts, and HR.

Regular staff training meetings are led by Suzie, with each person required to present on a certain topic; allowing the team to learn from one another, and letting clinicians educate non-clinical staff on certain procedures and processes, which helps admin and front of house staff to answer customer queries with empathy and confidence.

One of Suzie’s aims is for the Practice to achieve an Investors in People accreditation. She is also introducing the practice to police, prison and NHS personnel, while taking the opportunity to promote good oral health through events such as the local Prison Wellbeing Day, and arranging school visits with our Clinical Lead to hold talks in lessons to educate children about healthy smiles.

Suzie is keen to learn, developing herself both individually and in her career. She holds a Diploma in Management and is always open to new training courses.

Outside of work, Suzie’s life can only be described as busy; working full time at the practice as well as having two young children, her time is juggled between school runs, homework, football and work. Striving for work-life integration as a practice manager and busy mum, Suzie appreciates family is the most important but her job is also a crucial part of who she is, and she wants her children to appreciate that, as this instils a great working ethos in them also.

With the little spare time she has, Suzie likes to spend time with family and friends. Though a regular gym-goer, Suzie is a self-confessed failed dieter, having tried every fad diet around. She usually has biscuits or chocolate stashed away in her office and takes staff meetings as an excuse to bring sweet treats in for the team. Her dream would be to open a homemade cake shop, unfortunately she is a terrible chef so it’s very unlikely Kingswood Parks will lose her to The Great British Bake Off any time soon!
