PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is an innovative scientific treatment using one’s own blood. Our highly skilled clinical professionals can help in extracting platelets (an amazing cell only found in blood that changes shape with added growth factors) from your own blood by placing it in a centrifuge and splitting the blood from the plasma.

This amazing treatment is mainly used for hair restoration and growth, by injecting, microneedling or using a combination of the two, to help alter the hair growth cycle and heal damaged hair follicles, resulting in stimulating a new faster hair cycle. By using the PRP we can help influence the dermal papilla to produce a more faster hair cycle.

Alongside microneedling this treatment alone can increase the collagen cycle by 50%, help with improving the woven collagen fibres that result in better tissue formation and offer a more accelerated wound healing cascade.

Why The Parks Skin Clinic?

Our clinical therapists can help with treating numerous skin conditions and aid in clinical non-surgical hair restoration. By using the most advanced techniques and knowledge we can help trigger the body’s natural wound healing cascade at a more advanced and accelerated rate. Our experience allows us to tailor the PRP treatment to each individual and their concerns, with injections, alongside microneedling or both.

Frequently asked Questions?

Does this hurt?

Like any injectable or microneedling treatment there may be discomfort. However, when administering the treatment itself we like to use topical prescription numbing cream to help with discomfort. Although the drawing of blood can be slightly discomforting.

How much does this cost?

Prices may vary on each individual and what they are wanting to achieve. This would also vary on the technique we use and recommend. For example, if it’s just injecting the PRP it would be cheaper than the combination with microneedling. A course of treatments is usually required, from 3 sessions of the face or up to 6 sessions for hair regeneration.

What areas can you treat?

Like all of our other treatments we are trained to treat all the body. Treating mainly the upper body like the face, neck and décolleté and the head for hair restoration.
